After experimenting in the studio with hotly tipped producer XVR Black, Basheba returns with new material inspired by the sounds of 90s R&B and contemporary bass production. The sublime “Come Back To Me” is the first in a series of releases from the North Londoner this summer.
“The basis of the song is trust and honesty. I wanted to pay homage to 90’s R&B using the melodies in the chorus and somber-yet-sweet production that sets the scene for the story,” she explains. And one can definitely hear her intended sound; the song boasts a familiar melody along with futuristic production.
“Come Back To Me” is the first track to be taken from Basheba’s new experimental EP due for release later this summer.
