Rising Talent PJ Drops ‘Come Down’ ft. Ty Dolla $ign, Releases New Album ‘Rare’ + Tours With K. Michelle (Dates)

In 2015, PJ released her debut EP, Walking Around Pools, which hit #13 on iTunes R&B chart, and helped her land television performances on Late Night with Seth Meyers and Revolt TV.

Now she’s dropped her sophomore project Rare, an 11-track set of eclectic sounds. One of the tracks is this Ty Dolla Sign collab called “Come Down,” another tune that allows PJ to fuse two genres and tempos in one; it goes from a funky-infused tune to an epic, bassy, hip-hop breakdown complete with horns.

Her sound is optimistic, confident, and real.

“What I’m trying to present to the people is that you can do it—whatever it is. Whatever you wish to do, you just gotta take the first step! My music is here to let you know that you are unique and that you are rare,” sha says. “Instead of allowing society to dictate who and what you are by yelling at you to step back in line, you should leap from that line and embrace all the things that make you, you,” PJ says of her uplifting lyrics.
