Following his marriage to Crystal Renay back in February, Ne-Yo is still expressing his love in the form of “Two,” a ballad that for couples in love and feel it’s “us against the world.”
In a caption with the song, the singer-songwriter states he tried to sing this song to Renay at the wedding, but he got too emotional to finish.
This is the song I attempted to sing to my wife on our wedding day. If you saw the vid you know it didn’t go well. LOL. Emotions n’ all that. This is a song that expresses a love that makes the opinion of others mean even LESS than they actually do. Fore in TRUE love the only opinions that matter….are “TWO,” he wrote.
Those opinions he briefly mentions in the song: “So let them say whatever the want to, cause all that matters is me and you,” he belts on the chorus. It’s a clear jab at those who’ve disagreed with their union ever since it seemed he dumped his ex-fiancee Monyetta Shaw like a bad habit after allegedly manipulating her into getting her tubes tied.
Ne-Yo and Renay welcomed a baby boy in March.
