Last we heard from sassy songstress Aria Lanelle was back in January with her drop “Then To Now.” Now she’s back to premiere a newbie called “League,” the latest single from her forthcoming EP, My Name Is, slated to release this spring.
On the song, Lanelle ain’t taking no mess; she sings of taking back her power from a game-player. “You can’t play these games and expect I will come runnin’ / I’m not these other girls you holla at….I’m so out of your league, ain’t that that you wanted me for?” she sings over driving bass line.
“‘League’ is about recognizing your value… A lot of us just need to take a moment and appreciate our worth,” she explains.
“My Name Is” is the sequel to ULTRAGIRL, the leading project from her trilogy EP collection.
