Hip-hop producer Terrace Martin is readying his Velvet Portraits LP, so he’s dropped off two gems from the forthcoming opus, “Think Of You” and “Patiently Waiting.”
“Think Of You” is an uptempo, jazzy number featuring jazz saxophonist Kamasi Washington and singer Rose Gold, while “Patiently Waiting” is an down home soul offering featuring 1500 or Nothin’s Uncle Chucc & soul/R&B singing group The Emotions. Both are authentic throwbacks to golden eras in soul and jazz.
Velvet Portraits will arrive on April 1, and is the follow-up to Martin’s 2014 album Times. Pre-order Velvet Portraits on iTunes.
