Beyonce, Rihanna, Ariana Grande Top Spotify's List of Most Streamed Female Artists

Today (Mar 8th) is International Women’s Day and the month of March is Women’s History Month, so Spotify is honoring the most popularly-streamed women artists on their platform. Beyonce, Nicki Minaj, and Ariana Grande crack the top three respectively as the most streamed women artists in the U.S. When it comes to the global list, Rihanna, Ariana Grande, Beyoncé topped the list, respectively.

Those names are not surprising, being that Beyonce, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, and Ariana Granda are the biggest women stars in the game right now, however, Nicki isn’t on the global list at all.

Also today, for Women’s History Month, Spotify is premiering a new program called Women in Music & Culture that will focus attention on women in all forms of recordings, including poetry and literature, raising awareness that the streaming company offers more than just music.
