Just ahead of her upcoming album Milestone, Christette Michele released her trap-laden mixtape, Steady Gang Mix.
Headed by the previous releases of “Steady,” the Yo Gotti cover “Down In The DM,” and a cover of Adele’s “Hello,” Michelle is clearly making a statement about the direction of her new sound. However, it’s not all foreign: on “Private Destination,” Chrisette gives fans another one of her slow jams, and on “Edge Of The Bar,” she offers her usual fun, whimsical side.
Chrisette is ready to show a different side to herself on her forthcoming project. She told HotNewHipHop, “I’m ready to play. I miss being a choreographer. I miss my leather pants. I miss being excited. I love my ballads, and there will be some in this new album, Milestone, but it’s time to let my hair down and step outside of the box. I can’t wait to share.”
