As Malaysian singer-songwriter Yuna preps her seventh studio album Chapters, she drops off the first track “Places To Go” from the digital deluxe version of the project via Verve Records.
Produced by DJ Premier, the track features heavy hip-hop influence as she sings of living a free-spirited life and breaking out of the rut of routine.
“I just wanna fly away and ignore this, I just wanna call it quits I’mma quit this / While he’s out there taking his, I just need someone to break this wall of bricks I’ve built,” she sings on the first verse.
In addition to announcing Chapters, Yuna is excited to share the news of her spring tour, which kicks off on April 29, 2016, in Washington, D.C.The 15-date trek will make stops in New York City, Philadelphia, Boston, Seattle, Los Angeles and more. Pre-sale tickets can be purchased via Yuna’s website.
Chapters will come in two versions, a standard CD version and digital deluxe version. Jhene Aiko and Usher will guest feature. Chapters will be available for pre-order on Feb. 26, and will arrive in stores on May 20th.
