From the upcoming movie Race, soulful singer Aloe Blacc drops his contribution to the movie’s soundtrack, the fervent song “Let The Games Begin.”
The song is inspirational and fast-paced, much like the sprints track and field legend Jesse Owens dominated during the 1936 summer Olympics.
“This is the moment of a lifetime / Made it through the dark, now it’s time to let your light shine,” Blacc sings on the opening verse.
The film Race is based on the true story of Owens, the African American runner who conquered the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin, Germany games despite the reign of Hitler and his Nazi regime.
