Fresh off the heels of their single “The Dawning” followed by their holiday EP, “Merry Christmas: A Gift From VI”, Houston-based trio Six Minutes ‘til Sunrise is opening up the new year with some heat!
This vocal trio is kicking off the New Year with their hot single “Let It Flow” from their debut album set for release in 2016. The lead single is a dreamy number that tells the story of a chance meeting that becomes something more as sparks fly.
Members Tanika Keys, Ron Johnson, and Shawn Taylor take parts to tell a blossoming love story. “Standing at the bar she saw me from afar, we locked eyes as she walked up nice and slow,” Ron and Shawn sing on the first verse as the man. Tanika tells the woman’s side of the story on the second verse. “Took a chance walked over, told you my name / said it’s nice to meet you, and you said the same.”
Tanika Keys is the granddaughter of Archie Bell of Houston’s Archie Bell and the Drells, her love affair with music is in her blood. Ron Johnson has an impressive body of work singing behind Grammy, Dove and Stellar Award winning artists, Shawn Taylor has competed in several national and local talent showcases and worked with a plethora Grammy-winners.
