Luke James comes out of obscurity to link up with producer TrakGirl for “Pearls,” a cover of legendary songstress Sade’s song from her 1992 LP Love Deluxe in honor of Sade's birthday on January 16th.
As Sade’s vocals play in the background, James makes the haunting tune new and contemporary, his famously strong vocals ringing out with emotion.
James and TrakGirl spoke to told Complex, James saying he wanted to pay "homage to a queen with a queen," speaking about Sade and TrakGirl. "Sade has inspired so many people. Here's our tribute to her,” TrakGirl said.
