1500 or Nothin', a well-known musical production company in Los Angeles (that includes highly-sought after songwriter James Fauntleroy) was recently added to the Grammy nomination roster: the musical ensemble was nominated for four Grammys at the 2016 awards ceremony for their work on Kendrick Lamar's third studio album, To Pimp a Butterfly.
Kendrick Lamar takes the lead in Grammy nominations including the Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Rap Album, and many more.
This was exciting news for their team because the Grammys is the most prestigious accolade in music.Larrance "Rance" Dopson, CEO of 1500 or Nothin' producers found out about the Grammy nominations on Instagram. Many followers were congratulating the team on their latest musical success.
Dopson said, "To have a number of nominations in the rap category, it's such a blessing. I would like for us to receive a Grammy but the nomination is a huge honor in itself."
Producer Terrace Martin, who also worked with the crew, mentioned who he would have to acknowledge first and foremost if he received the award; God, family, friends, and prominent artists who he is had worked with, past and present.
1500 or Nothin' are already planning their pre-Grammy celebration party by conducting music workshops and having a party at the Viper Room on Sunset Blvd in West Hollywood.
