Toronto artist Mickey Blue drops a smooth joint called “We Just Be,” a track with a sinister bass line and slow, infectious groove.
Produced by Benstar, the song features Mickey asking to dwell in the moment with his love interest; no titles, just harmoniously coexist. “Why can’t we just be?” she sings on the chorus.
In 2012, after graduating from the University of Guelph, Blue contacted his childhood friend, Devin Nakao (whom he'd heard produced and recorded music) to make their first song titled "I Got You". Soon after, Blue decided it would be best suited to involve others in the process, so he started a creative collective called "We Are The School" or "W.A.T.S." About the group, Blue states, " I am very fortunate and blessed to be surrounded by such an incredible cast of characters who provide nothing but sincerity and support. I can't do this alone. Once we establish the proper machine behind us, we'll be unstoppable."
