Code red, code red! Monica gives up the deets of her upcoming album, Code Red, and it's fairly soon!
In an Instagram video showing studio equipment and vocals from the new LP playing(below), the red-haired, ATL songstress announced her album is set for mid-December. “CodeRED DECEMBER 18th 2015,” she captioned with the post.
The album’s title is named after what Monica describes as the state of R&B:
"I think right now for R&B music, there's a state of emergency. Myself being one person, one artist, I can't change that on my own. No one is that powerful, but all of us together, I think we can make huge strides, allowing this generation to enjoy what this music embodies, which is a lot of love, passion, soul,” she told DJ Smallz this summer.
Code Red follows-up her 2012 album New Life, and his headed by the Lil Wayne-assisted single “Just Right For Me.”
