Mayer Hawthorne pulls an unreleased oldie-but-goodie out of the vault called "Handyman," a tune that was left on the cutting room floor from the sessions of his 2011 album, How Do You Do.
The Detroit-native dug into his city’s roots to brush up the sounds of Motown as he hopes to be Mr. Fix It. “Let me be your handyman,” Mayer sings over the track full of hand claps, optimistic jazzy horns, a saxophone and piano solo.
Mayer is currently one-half of the duo Tuxedo with producer Jake One. The duo released their self-titled album earlier this year.
