On Tuesday (August 4), Kelly Clarkson’s “Piece by Piece Tour” stopped in St. Paul, MN, hometown of the Royal Purple One, Prince.
Her concert features new material off her latest album, Piece by Piece, as well as covers. And, being in the city that brought forth the “Kiss” singer, Clarkson covered his 1984 classic, "Purple Rain."
Standing barefoot on the stage at the Xcel Energy Center, Kelly remarked that "Purple Rain" is "one of the greatest songs" she’s ever heard before, effortlessly belting out the soulful rock tune.
