Singer-songwriter Gavin Turek and her longtime collaborator, producer/DJ TOKiMONSTA, are teaming up for a mini album titled You're Invited.
The project is headed by the first single, "Hemisphere," which is soulful and drenched in sunlight, as TOKi's big room production provides an airy backdrop for Gavin Turek's soaring vocals.
Natives to Los Angeles, the duo collaborated for years after forging a relationship on MySpace. You're Invited will be the duo’s first proper release.
TOKi is a part of Flying Lotus's Brainfeeder collective and featured everywhere from BBC Radio 1 to Red Bull's Music Academy.
You’re Invited will be released on TOKiMONSTA's Young Art Records on August 28th. Gavin and TOKi have two more shows on ther four-date tour: in Los Angeles on July 30 at Hotel Figueroa and in San Francisco on July 31 at the Swedish American Hall.
