Shortly after announcing the title, cover and tracklist of his debut album Shadows & Diamonds, Elijah Blake unwraps the remix to the single, "I Just Wanna," featuring Detroit rapper/singer Dej Loaf.
Blake eggs on a casual encounter, singing "I just wanna get f*cked up with you," Dej adds, "If I let you hit, you gotta promise me you aint gon' fall in love."
Blake told FADER, "I felt DeJ was the perfect look because she got a fresh sound and vibe about her. And to be honest, I missed the era where multiple female rappers were killing it and were getting on hip-hop tracks and adding a woman’s perspective to a male record. She definitely went in! To the point where I was like, 'Wow, this chick is here to stay.'"
Shadows & Diamonds will arrive on June 23.
