While Tyrese enjoys some box office success with Fast & Furious 7, he drops a new single featuring fellow actress and vocal powerhouse Jennifer Hudson called “Shame.” This is rumored to be from a film of the same name staring both stars.
According to a press release, the musical Shame is presented by Tyrese’s label Voltron Recordz and has Tyrese cast as an “up-and-coming musician in 1968, on tour and with the means to climb the top of the charts. He’s got all the right moves and things to say, but a mean streak and nasty substance abusive personality.” Hudson will play his wife, “A woman, whose strength and experience keeps her grounded despite her husband’s shortcomings and infidelity,” the release states.
The song is a soulful groove that has Ty begging to get back in his woman’s good graces. “Oh I’m ashamed of me / Wish I never done you wrong / Every night of us I dream that I wake up in your arms,” he wails on the chorus. Jennifer's vocals adds sparkle to the chorus.
“Shame” is also assumed to grace Tyrese’s album Black Rose scheduled for later this year.
