Alicia Keys To Be Honored at the Grammy’s On The Hill Awards

Adding to her already-impressive list of honors and awards, Grammy-Award winning artist Alicia Keys will be honored at the Grammy’s On the Hill Awards next month.

Keys will receive the Recording Artists' Coalition Award “for her artistry, philanthropy and her passion for creators' rights as a founding member of The Academy's brand-new GRAMMY Creators Alliance," said Recording Academy President/CEO Neil Portnow. "We know that she will bring the same dedication to creators' rights as she does to her global philanthropic efforts." The Recording Artists' Coalition Award is named for the artists' rights program founded by Don Henley and Sheryl Crow.

The Grammy’s On the Hill Awards is known as "Washington's most interesting mix of music and politics.” It will be hosted by five-time Grammy nominee Hunter Hayes and take place on Wednesday, April 15, at the Hamilton Live in Washington D.C.

Other honorees to be honored for their support and understanding of music creators' unique role in American life include House Judiciary Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.) and ranking member of the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Courts, Intellectual Property and the Internet, Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.).

In other Alicia news, she's also working on new music. Last fall at the press conference to promote Givenchy’s new fragrance Dahlia Divin, Keys said, "What I know for a fact is it's the best music I've ever done in my life yet and it's really exciting to be able to have this kind of growth, this type of opportunity," she said. "The music's actually pretty much done already and so you'll be hearing some of it soon."

She also welcomed baby number two last December, son Genesis.

Congrats Alicia!
