Tiara Thomas offers some introspective vibes on “How It Is,” an acoustic cut from her upcoming EP Up in Smoke.
This one will take you back to the vibes she projected Wale’s “Bad,” her vocals soft and toned down in reflection. “How It Is’ was a conversation with myself in my head,” Tiara told MTV News. “Talking about things that people go through in everyday life. Just dealing with people. Dealing with how things are.”
According to Rap-Up, Thomas is no longer on Rico Love’s Division1 imprint, but she’s still planning on dropping a boatload of music this year, including Up in Smoke and her debut album Bad Influence later this year.
“Up in Smoke is a collection of music that shows different aspects of me,” she explained. “The songs represent the different things that I feel and a lot of people feel. Sometimes I feel sad and lonely, sometimes I feel sexy and open…sometimes I’m high.”
