As the world hopefully awaits news of improvement regarding Bobbi Kristina’s condition, other news of her life has been coming out. Now, we’re learning Bobbi Kris was involved in a car accident just days before she was found unresponsive in her bathtub on Jan. 31 that sent the driver of the other vehicle and her passenger to the hospital.
According to ABC News (who obtained a Roswell, Georgia police report) on Jan. 27, BK was driving her Jeep with her friend Danyela Da Silva Bradley as the passenger when Bobbi “lost control of her Jeep” and swerved into the lane with on-coming traffic that was going in the opposite direction, colliding with a Ford Taurus. The reports states the driver of the Taurus, Russell Eckerman, and passenger Bradley were both taken to the hospital from injuries sustained from the crash.
Eckerman’s injuries are grave, as he still remains in the hospital. His lawyer Alan Herman tells ABC News, “He has been hospitalized since the date of the occurrence and has been unable to speak. His medical condition as I understand it, is serious, but everyone is hopeful that he will recover and get back to being Russell." Roswell, GA police say the accident is still under investigation.
Other news that has surfaced since the tragedy, is specifically her relationship with boyfriend Nick Gordon, which has been characterized as “abusive.” Now, Nick Gordon breaks his silence, through his lawyer, anyway. The 25-year-old, who is currently under criminal investigation for Bobbi Kris’ near drowning, has been banished away by her family from visiting her in the hospital. Gordon released a statement through his legal counsel stating he’s not going to take legal action to be able to visit her in the hospital, addressing reports that he was.
"In response to reports that Nick Gordon is taking legal action, he would like it to be clear, he is not," Gordon's attorneys Randy Kessler and Joe Habachy told Us Weekly. "Mr. Gordon's only concern is the recovery of Bobbi Kristina." The statement continues, “He remains in constant prayer for his companion, and he hopes to be reunited with her soon. Despite the incredible public interest, we ask and hope that this request can be resolved privately by Mr. Gordon and the family."
If you recall, Whitney Houston's former manager and sister-in-law Pat Houston issued a restraining order last year against Gordon after a physical altercation at a family event and threats towards the Houstons via social media.
