A Hungarian woman claims Beyoncé and Jay Z ripped off her song, "Bajba, Bajba Pelem," for their smash single ‘Drunk in Love.’
In her suit, Monika Miczura aka Mitsou, says the superstar couple along with producer Timbaland jacked a Roma folk song she recorded in 1995, and used it for the first 13-seconds in their hit record.
According to TMZ, Mitsou says she never gave them permission, she claims her recording was sabotaged, because it was a song about hopelessness, but Beyoncé used it "to evoke foreign eroticism alongside the sexually intense lyrics." She also adds that her voice was manipulated with Auto-Tune.
Mitsou is seeking damages and a seizure of the song with her voice on it.
We’ll see how this pans out!
