Veteran R&B singer Case lends his voice to the ears of the many people dealing with societal trauma in the wake of several police brutality cases, including the recent death of Mike Brown and Eric Garner at the hands of white police officers, whom were not indicted.
The “Missing You” hitmaker delivers a moving rendition of the Marvin Gaye classic, "Inner City Blues," as he adds his support to the various cases of injustices.
"If all men are created equal then all men should be treated equal, and it is through love, peace, service and respect that we experience that equality,” states Case. “Until the judicial system of the United States of America rids itself of the systemic virus of righteousness and its symptoms, which are racism, sexism and discrimination of all kinds the words of the constitution will be nothing more than a 'nice idea.’”
Case's new album, "Heaven's Door," will be released in spring 2015.
