Diddy has basically retired from the Mic, but he’s still “All About The Benjamins,” probably more than ever! The music mogul has made his mark as the highest-earning entertainer in the business. According to Forbes, the 44-year-old has acquired an estimated net worth of $700 million. Building his empire from Bad Boy and Sean John to Ciroc and his charities to Revolt TV, Diddy has managed to construct a major conglomerate. Indeed, he has set a trend for many artists alike.

When it comes to hip-hop and dollar signs, you can’t mention Diddy without bringing up Jay Z. The rap and business mogul continues to make additions to his empire, and his latest venture will heighten the competition against Diddy in the spirits world. Jay is the new owner of Armand de Brignac Champagne. Sovereign Brands have handed over their rights to the “Ace of Spades” champagne to the Roc Nation castle.

“We are proud to announce that Sovereign Brands, a New York-based wine and spirits company owned by the Berish family, has sold its interest in the Armand de Brignac (‘Ace of Spades’) Champagne brand to a new company led by the globally renowned Shawn ‘Jay Z’ Carter,” Sovereign Brands said in a statement.

Apparently Jay made an offer they simply could not refuse, according to the director of brand communications. Aside from the champagne deal, he added Cognac to his endorsement portfolio back in 2012. D’ussé, (pronounced ‘dew-say’), is a VSOP Cognac that was launched by Barcardi costing a mere $45, at least for the 750mL bottle. Why not have another spirit on the shelf? Jay is working hard to make himself the new spirits giant by appealing to a younger generation. Do you think that he has more ideas of building upon his spirits portfolio?

Although he is gaining market share in the wines and spirits corporate world, "H.O.V.A." is on the role in other areas. I mean, from Rocawear to inking a deal for Roc Nation and owning the Brooklyn Nets to founding the 40/40 club and all his other business endorsements, Mr. Carter is raking in a net worth of over $520 Million. Let's not forget the fact that he's married to one of the most beautiful women on earth!

Doesn't it seem like Puff started a trend here? Well, he has definitely inspired his borough brother, Jay Z to build his house in bricks! Congrats Jay!
