John Legend, Pharrell and Beyonce Lead 2014 American Music Award Nominations

With songs like "Flawless," "All of Me" and "Dark Horse" to their credit, Beyonce, John Legend and Katy Perry are leading nominees for 2014 American Music Awards.

Nominations were announced by Jason Derulo and Charlie XCX Monday.

John Legend and Pharrell tie with five nominations a piece — all in the same categories, which are Artist of the Year, Single of the Year ("All of Me"; "Happy"), Favorite Male Artist – Pop/Rock, Favorite Male Artist – Soul/R&B and Favorite Album – Soul/R&B.

Beyonce joins John Legend and Pharrell in the latter category, Favorite Album – Soul/R&B. With a total of three nominations, Beyonce is also nominated for Artist of the Year and Favorite Female Artist-Soul R&B, a category she shares with Jhene Aiko and Mary J. Blige.

Katy Perry, Lorde, One Republic, Chris Brown, Drake, Eminem, Carrie Underwood, Blake Shelton, Luke Bryan, One Direction and Sam Smith are also nominated.

The 2014 American Music Awards (AMAs) will be broadcast LIVE from the Nokia Theater L.A. on November 23rd, 2014.
