It’s Black History Month in the UK, and in honor of, Kent born R&B/Soul singer and songwriter Ebonie G presents her brand new single titled “I Am.”
In black and white visuals conceptualized by Ebonie herself (and directed by Lance Johnson), the singer reflects on her life and paying homage to Civil Right activists King, Parks and Mandela. She also pays respects to influential musical greats such as James Brown and Stevie Wonder that have inspired her and helped shape who she is today as a person and an artist, following Ebonie’s journey as a black British female finding her identity in the UK through history.
“I Am” is the third single from her forthcoming debut album I Am Beautiful Inspiration (IABI), which is due to be released on October 20, 2014.
