Ashanti is returning to television in the soon to premiere Syfy movie "Mutant World."
Slated to premiere November 8, the movie follows a group of "doomsday" people that emerge from their bunker ten years after an apocalyptic meteor strike, only to discover the world is overrun with crazed mutants.
A trailer for the movie is forthcoming.
Ashanti's credits include "Army Wives" (Lifetime), "John Tucker Must Die" and "Coach Carter."
Her latest album, "Braveheart," was released earlier this year.
