Flex Alexander and Shanice are coming to OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network with the first season of their docu series "Flex & Shanice."
Slated to premiere Saturday, November 1, “Flex & Shanice” follows the lives of the husband and wife duo and their extended family all living together under one roof. A special sneak preview of the show last May delivered double-digit growth (+25%) in the network's key women 25-54 demo in the time period versus one year ago. The special was also the night’s #1 cable telecast (non-sports) for African-American women.
"From the outside looking in, Flex and Shanice are living the dream — they are beautiful celebrities with a long-standing marriage, gorgeous kids and a lovely home in suburbia. But what this fairytale couple has been hiding from the world is that they have been teetering on the edge of financial ruin for the past five years. So they moved their hilarious extended family in to help make ends meet, but nine people under one roof can add just as much stress as it relieves. We watch as Flex tries to rebuild the stand-up career that he abandoned 18 years ago, and Shanice as she heads back into the studio attempting to restart her R&B career. The family will try to hold it together as they aim to capture that one big break to help turn their luck around," reports OWN.
“Flex & Shanice” is executive produced by Jeff Dyson and Vernon Lynch for Lynch-Dyson Entertainment, Julie Pizzi and Patty Ivins.
"Flex & Shanice" premieres Saturday, November 1 at 10 p.m. on OWN.
