Keyshia Cole Talks Being Real Following Arrest Over Alleged Assault

Without saying much, Keyshia Cole has been sending out messages via Instagram following an incident that landed her in the slammer.

Early Friday morning (Sept. 19), the R&B singer-songwriter allegedly assaulted a woman, whom she discovered at her rumored boyfriend’s home.

The “Rick James” singer, who is said to be dating Cash Money founder Birdman, showed up at his lavish condo complex in West L.A. at around 5 AM. After getting by security and making it to Birdman's penthouse, she discovered another woman in his place, and went off the wall.

According to TMZ, “Keyshia attacked her … leaving scratches all over her face.”

She was arrested for battery and an outstanding reckless driving warrant. Cole spent most of the morning in Jail before being released on $46,000 bail.

Following her release, Cole took to Instagram to release some subtle messages.

One red, “Ni**az be like, ‘WTF I gotta lie for’ and still be lying,” while another states, “My real and your real ain’t the same, that’s why we don’t click.”

Cole’s forthcoming sixth studio album, Point of No Return, is slated to arrive on October 7th.
