According to reports, singer Simone Battle, known for her top 20 finish on the U.S. version of the “X Factor,” was discovered dead in her home. Authorities tell TMZ that the 25-year-old’s death is an apparent suicide; she was found hanging from a rod in the closet of her bedroom in a West Hollywood neighborhood around 8:30 AM on Friday.
Battle was also a member of the girl group GRL, which is a makeover of the now defunct Pussycat Dolls.
An autopsy has not been completed as of yet, so nothing has been ruled out as the cause of death.
