If you’ve been wondering why you haven’t seen Alicia Keys at any events or on any red carpets, wonder no more. The R&B veteran took to Instagram recently and announced that she was expecting her second child with husband Swizz Beatz.
“Happy Anniversary to the love of my life@therealswizzz !! And to make it even sweeter we've been blessed with another angel on the way!!” a glowing Keys wrote to her followers. “You make me happier than I have ever known! Here's to many many more years of the best parts of life!”
Swizz also timed her post with his excitement: “Love is life & life is love and we're so excited for another GIFT from up above. Happy Anniversary my Goddess. 4 years of greatness & cheers to 100 plus more inshallah @aliciakeys.”
The new bundle of joy will join Keys and Beatz’s first child together, 3-year-old Egypt. Swizz also has three other kids outside of his marriage.
