As she rides on her hit single “2 On,” Tinashe musically hooks up with TV On The Radio's David Andrew Sitek for Dr. Pepper's One of a Kind Studio Sessions for “Xylophone.” It begins with a tribal groove then fuses in an alternative-inspired hook.
The idea behind The One of a Kind Studio Sessions is that two artist who’ve never met come together to create a tune during their first meeting.
About working with rising producers such as Sitek, Tinashe told SPIN, “I definitely have to get acquainted with working with people because before when I was making my music, I was making it all on my own. It's been a learning process, learning how to incorporate other people's artistic opinions and what I am doing. Its very fun, especially when you're working with awesome creative people that you respect, it's cool to hear what they think and to get their input. I'm looking forward to working with new people I haven't worked with before. Getting acquainted with them and creating something from nothing."
“Xylophone” is from Sitek’s EP At Any Cost, which you can check out here.
