According to Rudy Rasmus, the Pastor of the music superstar's childhood church, St. Johns, located in downtown Houston, Beyonce and her family has donated millions to the place of worship to help house and feed the homeless and the less fortunate.
“She’s an incredible human being. Has an incredible heart and has been extremely helpful in our mission and our ministry here,” the Pastor told KHOU about the Houston native.
“She used to sing right here,” he adds. “I don’t remember the song but I do remember she had long braids, tennis shoes and jeans on. A far cry from what she is today.”
Beyonce has a close relationship with Rasmus, who presided over her wedding to Jay Z in 2008.
Rasmus is currently promoting the new book "Love Period. When All Else Fails."
