Earlier this month, R. Kelly's 14-year-old daughter Jaya revealed on Facebook that she was a "transguy" and will be going by the name Jay.
Since the news broke, both Kelly and his ex-wife Andrea has been mum on the subject, but in a new interview, Kelly somewhat touched on the topic, insisting you shouldn’t believe everything you hear.
“As far as that’s concerned, always believe what you see, with your own eyes that is. Always believe what you see, that’s the best way to go about this business. I’ve heard a lot of things about a lot of people and it was never true,” Kelly told Chicago's WCGI, The Morning Riot, backstage at #WGCISummerJam.
He adds during the conversation, “And then when you see it with your own eyes, you gotta know there’s a back story… that’s why you can’t judge nobody.”
Kelly closed the topic claiming, “Why you think I’ve been here for 27 years and still relevant, cause I don’t address dumb [sh*t].”
There you go folks, sometimes saying less is more!
