Bobby Flay won’t be the only "Bobby" in the food business!
Bobby Brown will join Kelis and Patti LaBelle as music-stars-turned-foodies with his own line of seasonings, sauces, and mixes all made from his personal recipes. “Bobby Brown Foods” will feature Sweet and Spicy Sauce, Bobby’s Original BBQ Sauce, Boston Blend Seasoning for grilling and Bobby’s Everyday Seasoning.
“I learned to cook a long time ago. When I was younger and on punishment, that was my punishment, where I had to stay in the kitchen with my mother and actually learn how to cook,” he shares. “This is not something that is new to me; it’s been a part of my life for a long time.”
According to reports, the line will enhance soul food dishes in a healthy way to provide “a clean way to eat”.
Brown's giving his hometown fans in Boston a chance to taste the line in advance on June 27 at The Sunset Cantina, but for the rest of us, the line will come to grocer’s shelves by Fall 2014.
