Michelle Williams is doing very well with her new single, "Say Yes," now available to music fans, but her several month trek with JC Chasez ('N Sync) has been canceled.
According to Billboard, "Jesus Christ Superstar," the arena tour that was to feature Williams as Mary Magdalene, was abruptly canceled late last week as items for the production were being delivered for the first show in New Orleans.
"Options Clause Entertainment LLC, an affiliate of S2BN Entertainment, announced today the cancellation of the Jesus Christ Superstar Arena Spectacular Tour including the previously announced show on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at Madison Square Garden. All purchased tickets will be refunded. Tickets purchased online and via telephone will be automatically refunded. Tickets purchased from outlets/venue box office must be returned to that location for refund," a statement read regarding the cancellation of the 51-date tour.
It's still unclear what led to the cancellation of the trek.
Ben Forster, who was to play Jesus, took to Twitter Friday.
"My heart is broken. My beautiful talented cast and company I adore. This wonderful show & opportunity is over. I'm so sorry I am devastated," Forster wrote. "I am in New Orleans.I was mid rehearsal with @JCChasez on the floor.Going they the end of the show. U guys must know we were ready for this."
