As her current single “Problem” keeps a steady strong hold on the charts, Ariana Grande releases a tune from the vault called "Boyfriend Material," a bubble-gummy song recorded when she was 17, which has her acknowledging the qualities she wants in the perfect beau.
"I know how much y’all love this song and how disappointed you were when it didn’t make it on to my first album so I knew I had to get it to you somehow someday,” she captioned with the song posting. “This song means a lot to me and holds such a special place in my heart as it was one of the first songs I did when I started working on Yours Truly when I was like 17…don’t worry…you’ll get more of these oldies too as time goes on! I’m working on it for you. Love you all so much. You are everything. Love you."
Grande is slated to perfrom at the 2014 Billboard Awards, which will be broadcast live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Sunday, May 18, on ABC at 8 p.m. ET. Her sophomore album is slated for an August or September 2014 release.
