[EXCLUSIVE] Trevor Jackson Talks Diggy Duet, Debut Album, Being Compared to Chris Brown, More

Singer, actor, dancer Trevor Jackson is on a mission to be great, all while being humble. After recently releasing his debut EP #NewThang, and touring with label-mate Justine Skye, the Atlantic Records triple threat kicks off the next chapter in his career by assisting Diggy Simmons with his new single 'My Girl.' In addition, Trevor is also readying his debut album as he gears up to show the world that he wants to make history. Check out our quick chat with the young crooner as he talks working with Diggy, his upcoming debut album, being compared to Chris Brown, and more.

On Working With Diggy Simmons on 'My Girl': We're so close in age and positions in our life, and music is our life, so to be able to do it together is awesome.

On Debut Album: Putting out the album this year, so excited! I've been working non-stop every single day… All the records, I'm so thankful that they turned out the way they did and they're all a part of me.

On What to Expect From Debut Album: Good, bad, any type of relationship, this album is gonna address that. That's the greatest part about it; it's relatable.

On Being Multi-talented and Being Compared to Chris Brown: I feel like we're all meant to lead these paths and I think my path will be where I'm supposed to go, his path is where he's suppose to go, and God has his plan. I just plan to work hard, If people wanna put me in that position, sure, but I definitely want to form my own position… put my stamp on who I am as an artist.

On The New Artist Struggle: The hardest part is keeping the voice intact.
