Ed Sheeran gave a soul-stirring live rendition of his song “One” recently, but get this, he did it at London’s Wembley Arena without an audience. Nonetheless, that didn’t stop the UK crooner from delivering a welcoming and heartfelt performance.
“‘One’ is the first track I wrote for my second album, shortly after + came out. I wrote it back in 2011 in Perth, on a guitar made out of a whiskey barrel,” states Sheeran. “My first album was mostly about one person—this song is the last one about them. The rest of x is about moving on and the incredible experiences I’ve had since then. I can’t wait for you guys to hear it!”
Sheeran’s new album x is led by the Pharrell-produced single “Sing.” The set will be available on June 23rd.
