ESSENCE plans to drum up a lot of buzz before their forthcoming 20th anniversary ESSENCE Festival in New Orleans this July 4th weekend. The outlet has partnered with mega-brand Walmart for a nationwide tour series dubbed “The Road to ESSENCE Festival,” which includes performances, give-a-ways, and empowering conversations.

Taking place at Walmart stores, R&B artists Tank, Marsha Ambrosius, Syleena Johnson, Avery*Sunshine, Kindred the Family Soul, Sevyn Streeter and more are some of the acts that will perform live during the trek.
