Shakira will be treating "The Voice" viewers and fans to a special performance on Tuesday's episode of the hit NBC reality singing competition.
According to NBC, Shakira will be delivering a performance of "Empire," a single taken from her new self-titled album.
“The Voice” coach and renown music sensation Shakira will perform “Empire” from her self-titled new album on a live episode of the Emmy Award-winning musical competition series Tuesday, April 22," reports NBC. "Her most recent studio album, “Shakira,” was released on March 25. It is the 10th album from the wildly popular Colombian singer-songwriter and debuted at No. 1 on the iTunes charts in 62 countries."
Over the course of her career, Shakira has sold more than 60 million records worldwide and has won numerous awards, including two Grammys, eight Latin Grammys, four World Music Awards, three American Music Awards and five Billboard Music Awards. She is the only artist from South America to have a No. 1 song in the U.S., and has had four of the 20 top-selling hits of the last decade.At the age of 18, she founded the Pies Descalzos (Barefoot) Foundation, which currently provides education and nutrition to over 6,000 impoverished children in Colombia and is expanding its work to other countries, including newly launched projects in Haiti and South Africa.
