The line up for this year's Essence Music Festival has grown with the addition of R&B stars Tank, Tamar Braxton, K. Michelle and Tevin Campbell!
Slated to take place in New Orleans July 4 – 6, the festival line up will also include newly announced performers August Alsina, Estelle, Michelle Williams and The Roots.
"Tamar Braxton, The Roots and Tank will be joining our previously announced acts Prince, Lionel Richie, Mary J. Blige, Jill Scott, Erykah Badu, Charlie Wilson and Ledisi on the Mainstage for the 2014 ESSENCE Festival," festival organizers reported Thursday. "Also announced: August Alsina, Michelle Williams, Tevin Campbell, Estelle and K. Michelle have joined the line-up of electrifying performances you will see in the Superlounges that already include Sevyn Streeter, Marsha Ambrosius, King, 112, Sebastian Mikael, Naughty by Nature, Doug E. Fresh, Stephanie Mills, PJ Morton, Eve, Robert Glasper, Amel Larrieux, Big Sam's Funky Nation, Raheem Davaughn, Kourtney Heart, Elle Varner, Leela James, Liv Warfield, and The Original Pinettes Brass Band. The evening concerts will be hosted by Nephew Tommy."

Saturday, July 5th – Mainstage: Mary J. Blige, Jill Scott, The Roots, Ledisi, Tank. Superlounges: 112, Big Sam’s Funky Nation, Michelle Williams, Tevin Campbell, Liv Warfield, Marsha Ambrosius, PJ Morton, Doug E. Fresh and Kourtney Heart.
