Fresh off appearances, including "The Voice" (NBC), Aloe Blacc is having a major week on the coveted Billboard charts.
His album "Lift Your Spirit" made its debut with 45,000 copies sold in its first week Wednesday, earning the album a no.4 debut on the Billboard 200 and a chart topping, no.1, debut on the Billboard R&B Albums chart.
"Aloe Blacc notches his best week ever as his third album, "Lift Your Spirit," bows at No. 4 with a little more than 45,000. His last full-length set, "Good Things," was released in 2010 and missed the Billboard 200. The vocalist behind Avicii's hit song "Wake Me Up" most recently charted with his own "Wake Me Up" EP, which reached No. 32 in January," reports Billboard.
"The Man," the popular single taken from the album, is also performing well. The song not only saw a major increase in radio play, but it leaped 12-10 on the Hot 100 this week.
"Aloe Blacc likewise enters the Hot 100's top 10 with "The Man" (12-10). After not receiving credit as the vocalist on Avicii's No. 4-peaking "Wake Me Up!" (at No. 25 this week), Blacc scores his first top 10. "The Man" benefits from its 20-19 push on Radio Songs (52 million, up 2 percent), as it concurrently enters the Pop Songs top 10 (12-8). It holds at No. 8 on Digital Songs (97,000, down 10 percent), while slipping 33-37 on Streaming Songs (2 million, down 3 percent)," reports Billboard.
"Lift Your Spirit" is available now in stores and digital retail.
