Chris Brown’s actions have finally caught up to him.
During his court appearance today (Mar 17), a judge ordered the troubled R&B star to remain in jail until April 23.
As previously reported, Brown was jailed over the weekend for being kicked out of a Malibu rehab center for violating the facility’s rules. According to TMZ, the Grammy winner was kicked out of the facility after he violated a rule to stay at least two feet from women. He also refused a drug test and made disparaging comments about rehab during a group session.
Appearing in an orange jumpsuit with his attorney Mark Geragos, who pleaded for his client to be moved to another rehab facility or put on house arrest as opposed to being locked up until his D.C. assault trial case begins on April 17th, Brown was shown no remorse by the judge.
According to the judge, Brown’s “inability to stay out of trouble” was reasoning enough to stay locked up. A statement Brown made in rehab where he allegedly said, “I am good at using guns and knives,” also troubled the judge.
A probation trial will be held on April 23rd, following the DC case, where the judge will decide whether Brown violated his probation in his Rihanna case. He faces up to four years in prison.
