Janelle Monae is doubling up when it comes to the forthcoming animated adventure "Rio 2," the sequel to Blue Sky Studios' 2011 hit film.
According to Billboard, the "Queen" singer is not only appearing on the soundtrack. She is actually voicing a character.
Due in stores March 25, the "Rio 2" soundtrack is led by Monae's recently released track "What Is Love."
With a tropical theme, "What Is Love" fits right in with the film, where Monae is voicing a veterinarian.
Bruno Mars also plays a role in the soundtrack.
"Rio 2" is due in theaters April 11.
