R&B legend Patti Labelle will regroup with her Labelle bandmates for a reunion tour to celebrate the 40th anniversary of their hit single, "Lady Marmalade."
Labelle confirmed the trek during a recent appearance on "Watch What Happens Live" insisting, "Forty years ago was the date of (the release of) Lady Marmalade. Forty years ago we did that song, and we plan to tour again this year."
"Lady Marmalade" reached the top spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart after its release in 1974 and has since been inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame. In 2001, Christina Aguilera, Pink, Mya and Lil' Kim revived the record with their own spin.
Labelle last toured with her sisters in music back in 2009, following the 2008 release of their first full-length album in 32 years, Back to Now.
