Sevyn Streeter has penned new songs for Chris Brown's anticipated album, "X."
Following tracks like "Fine China," the "Come On Over" and "It Won't Stop" singer discussed a new track titled "Counterfeit" and more with XXL in a recent interview.
"I actually wrote 'Fine China.' I wrote the title track, it’s a song called 'X', I also wrote another song called 'Counterfeit. And I got my fingers crossed for a couple other songs so songwriter me is hoping that I get another placement," said Streeter.
Fresh off the release of her own EP, "Call Me Crazy But…," Streeter is also working on a debut album that may just arrive sometime this year.
"In my Sevyn world, I would love to do it sometime [this] year but going back to the songwriting, I have to write according to how I feel or stories that I’m around. So if the creative gods give me the right song then and time for the album to be released, it will be released [this] year. We have to wait and see. It’s a process for me," she said of the album, which follows tracks like "B.A.N.S." and "Shattered."
As previously reported, Chris Brown is slated to release "X" sometime this year. Sevyn's EP, "Call Me Crazy But…" is available now.
