Tatyana Ali continues to solidify her return to music with a recent appearance on the Arsenio Hall Show.
As previously reported, the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and The Young & The Restless star released a new EP, Hello, 15 years after hitting fans with the Billboard Top 10 hit “Daydreamin’”, a record from her debut album, Kiss the Sky.
Ali hit the Arsenio stage rocking a stylish, black and white leather number, as she gave the world a taste of how her music has matured. We can’t agree that it was great vocally, but her energy and presence made up for her shortcomings.
Following her set, she spoke with Arsenio about a plethora of topics including her new 5-song EP, maturing as an artist, the death of James Avery (Uncle Phil), and more.
Of the new project, Ali says it has two meanings: “It’s ‘Hello’ because the last time I put music out I was seventeen…but also for the first time I feel like I’m able to really be myself, so I’m also kind of saying Hello to myself.”
