Miguel Working on New Album, Aiming For Summer’s Biggest Song

R&B singer-songwriter Miguel recently started working on his third studio album, the follow-up to 2012’s Kaleidoscope Dream.

"I want this album to feel like home for me," Miguel, who was born and raised in L.A., told VIBE. The project will also boasts that sexy vibe we’ve come to expect from the "Adorn" hitmaker. He adds, "The music that I create always has this underlying tender scandal to it."

They say third time's the charm and Miguel is using that fuel, along with his recent buoyancy from working with Beyonce to plan for a big summer.

He insists, "I wanna write the f**king summer anthem. I haven’t had that summer song yet, so that’s my goal and then come out of the summer with the album."

The LP will also tap into Miguel’s Latin roots.

While you wait, check out Miguel’s recent offering “Simplethings,” one of his love ditties for the HBO Girls soundtrack, Girls Vol 2: All Adventurous Women Do…
